Why Misting is the Best Skin Care Step You're Not Doing

My regular clients all know how much I loved to mist them throughout the facial. I have dubbed myself as the Mist Queen and I'm always quick to educate people on the amazing benefits of using a hydrating Mist in between your skin care application steps. I know that might sound laborious (it's not), but it will not only make your skin care work more effectively for better, quicker results, it will save you money, as well. The skin is much like a sponge, if you ever put dish soap on a dry sponge the soap will sit on top not penetrating the sponge at all. The moment you add the sponge to water the soap automatically seeps into the body of the sponge. Skin care works similarly. If your skin is dry and you are applying serums and moisturizers, they aren't fully penetrating your skin and mostly sitting on top, sometimes creating a thick feeling.
Better Product Penetration = Better Results
Skin care is designed to penetrate the skin where it can actually create results. So when the skin is damp or moist, your product is able to penetrate more deeply and create quicker results while using less product (saving $) because it is able to spread more evenly, absorb more thoroughly, thus avoiding that heavy or tacky feeling. Try misting in between your layering of steps and notice the difference. You can use any type of Mist designated for your skin type or a mist-able Toner. If you have a toner that requires it to be used on a cotton round, like an exfoliating Toner with AHA's, I would do that step first after cleansing, pause, then use a separate Mist before your serums and moisturizer.
